Privacy Policy
Eight Marks ("we", "us") is operated by Seung Min Lee, based in the Republic of Korea. This policy explains what we collect when you use myeightmarks.com and our reports and emails, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- Birth details you enter: birth date, birth time (if you know it) and first name. We use them to calculate your chart and write your reports.
- Order details: your email address, name, billing country and order history. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our reseller and Merchant of Record. We never see or store your full card number.
- Emails: if you subscribe, we use your email address to send your daily and monthly readings.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our hosting provider may log IP addresses and browser type for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To calculate your chart and create and deliver the reports you buy
- To send the emails you signed up for, and receipts and account messages
- To answer your questions and process refunds
- To keep the site secure and meet legal and tax obligations
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run Eight Marks, and only for that purpose:
- Lemon Squeezy for checkout, payments, tax and subscriptions
- Hosting and email delivery providers to serve the site and send your emails
- An AI text provider that helps write your reports from your chart data. We send your birth details and first name, not your payment information.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Cookies and browser storage
We don't use advertising cookies. The site saves your chart in your own browser's storage so the next page can show your reading. You can clear it anytime in your browser settings. Lemon Squeezy uses its own cookies during checkout.
How long we keep it
We keep order records as long as needed for tax and accounting rules. We keep your birth details while you have an active subscription or until you ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
- Unsubscribe from emails with the link at the bottom of any email
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@myeightmarks.com
- If you live in California or another US state with privacy laws, you have these rights too, and we won't treat you differently for using them
Where your data is processed
We are based in the Republic of Korea and our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We use providers that protect data in line with this policy.
Children
Eight Marks is not intended for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. For significant changes we'll tell subscribers by email.
